ALWAYS ALIGNED WITH NICE GUIDANCE

Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)

All our assessments are completed by appropriately qualified and experienced clinicians working within a multidisciplinary team.

The team may include clinical psychologists, educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, specialist nurses, occupational therapists and other experienced neurodevelopmentally trained practitioners. The professionals involved will depend on the person’s age, individual needs and the type of assessment being undertaken.

Team members bring perspectives from different professional disciplines and consider information from clinical interviews, developmental history, structured assessment tools, observations and relevant reports.

The team meets to review the available evidence, consider DSM/ICD classifications and reach a carefully considered clinical conclusion. Our assessments are informed by relevant NICE guidance and professional standards, with recommendations tailored to the individual’s strengths, needs and circumstances.
